Site hacking activities are quite common in the modern era like now. The impact of the hack was also massive, as happened to the online booking site Tiket.com recently. PT Citilink Indonesia’s security system was successfully breached by a 19-year-old teenager named Haikal and gained access to Tiket.com’s deposits there.

The teenager also managed to gain access to Citilink’s server on November 11, 2016. With this access, Haikal also managed to steal the deposit quota that was part of Tiket.com. The losses that Tiket.com and Citilink have to suffer are also very large.

Quoted from Tribunnews, Tiket.com admitted that they suffered a loss of Rp. 4 billion. Citilink also suffered considerable losses, mainly due to the impact of the hack which resulted in several people canceling and asking for a refund. With a figure reaching 1.9 billion rupiah.

In carrying out the hacking action, Haikal was not alone, but together with two of his friends. Furthermore, the tickets they managed to get were sold through Hairul Joe’s Facebook account. The three also managed to get a large profit, reaching the figure of Rp. 1 billion.

With access to their Citilink server, they can also provide booking codes to ticket buyers. However, the actions of the three were later caught by the police. The authorities then went to a house on Jalan Siaga Dalam, Gang Kemuning number 12 in Balikpapan on March 28, 2017. From that house, the police managed to arrest three suspects.
